Chris started documenting life by making skateboard videos with his brothers when he was 12 years old, using his dad’s old heavy VHS camcorder. Decades later, living in New York City, he found himself taking film photographs of skateboarders and musicians during his years as a touring pedal-steel guitar player in the rock n’ roll group Mail the Horse. He has since worked on various commercial and artistic video projects. He has photographed family portraits, professional headshots, and personal and professional events. He currently creates video and photo marketing content for a private school in Connecticut where he also works as an educator. He continues to document his life, loves, and travels on film, digital photo, and video.
Chris will work with you to craft the precise product you seek, whether it is a clean and clear set of professional development images, a warm and festive hand-held video of a beloved’s birthday, or a stunning and thorough archive of the most memorable day of your life.
“Chris was a delight to work with!” says Jessica Strand, for whom he took headshots in the Spring of 2022. “He came up with great location ideas and we just had fun with it. It was a joyful experience that can really be seen in the photos.”
Chris is a cinematographer and photographer based in upstate New York. Born in Wyoming and raised in Missouri, he spent the second part of his life in New York as a musician, writer, photographer, and videographer. He has a degree in journalism and creative writing.
